Guy Who Reinstated Death Penalty Dies
I just read that
Justice White died. I confess I didn't know much about Justice White. He was a Kennedy liberal they say. He didn't seem to like gays and he opposed abortion rights. I thought the most interesting thing about him was that he voted to reinstate the death penalty in 1976. I was curious how many people had been executed since then. The number is
764. I don't have much of an opinion on the death penalty. I suppose I'm glad it's there. Hate to think that they got the wrong guy sometimes though. I'd hate to be that guy.
